I just watched this video where Harsha Bhogle (Follow Harsha Bhogle on twitter) argues that attitude is more important than talent (~4 min talk).

I am pretty convincing with Harsha Bhogle’s speech of talent vs attitude; that attitude that actually creates the difference and attitude is all about your love and passion about that work which we do.
So, if we do what we love to do, will increase our success rate as well as we don’t feel like doing hard work.
Even if you look around in your office, family or friends that there are lots of people who are talented i.e. have better IQ, score better at their colleges but not have as much as successful as much as people with bit lower latent but have better attitude towards work.
To test this case there is only one ideal scenario we have with is we.
Just compare yourself with your past (5-10 years back) and you will find you are better with skills where you worked harder and if it’s your desired or lovable skills then your loves towards your work was definitely increased, right?

Bravo! That is probably the most important lesson to learn in any field. To paraphrase Edison, talent is 1% genius and 99% attitude. I have worked with some extremely brilliant people whose work often came to naught because of their attitude, and some less brilliant people who because of their good attitude did exceptional work. Fortunately, I am now lucky enough to work with brilliant people with good attitudes.
attitude always is not right, if digg into military, we went for war, I have talent and you have attitude, I have talent to defend my self, but your attitude is looking for someone for help.
attitude is cheapest acronym to begging & live.
he..he…
awesome speech, thanks for this
I am complety disagree with “chandler”, right attitude alwyas matters man whether battle field or your workstation. Infact right attitude wins half of your battle..
I just explain your exapmle only, You have talent but you have not the attitude to carry your troops and weapons, it will hard to get success..and that would be the attitude only in your force which make you devoted towards your job and take the right initiative..
Let me know your point of view
Thanks
My opinion is brilliant people get cracking ideas but just they are brilliant they cannot materialize their ideas. But the problem with the society is they always praise brilliant people than people with great attitude. For example a person wrote a great article about how to ride a bicycle and a person rides bicycle like anything and he sells vegetables on the bicycle from morning to evening. But our society praises the first person and neglects the second person. According to Harsha’s comments it seems he is talking from the sports point of view.
